FDM-S3 SDR Receiver

The FDM-S3 is the third device of the FDM-Sx series. It is a Direct Sampling Wideband Receiver which features up to 24MHz of bandwidth. It embeds a Reference Clock Manager Module which allows to choose between two reference clocks, a GnssDO(Global navigation satellite system Disciplined Oscillator) or a 10MHz external signal.

Two versions with different oscillator characteristics are available :

• version with TCXO(Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator), with a good frequency stability and a lower power consumption,
• version with OCXO(Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator), with a higher degree of frequency stability, less phase noise but also a higher power consumption.

For the version with TCXO t he GNSS antenna is NOT included , the product code to be purchased separately is GNSS-04.

The shipment of the version with OCXO may be postponed by one business day due to the oscillator calibration operation.

Frequency Coverage

9kHz - 108 MHz ( above 108 MHz with the optional downconverter, see the user manual for more information ).

Antenna Connectors

SMA connectors. Two for HF (up to 54MHz) and one for VHF (up to 108MHz). One RF-IN connector if the downconverter option is present (above 108MHz).

Two antenna biases are included, one for an HF input and one for the VHF input (or for the RF-IN input).

High-Speed USB 3.0 (check requirements inside the user manual).

Power Supply

DC 8-16V (not included).
